All Hallow's eve

Our living situation does not allow us to participate in Halloween. When I got home last night, or whenever we left the house, we felt like mean adults who do not want to be fun. We ran out to the mall last night, because I needed a dress for 50 degree weather. There were a ton of kids trick or treating in the mall. When did kids start doing that? My best guess was if you live in apartment or bad neighborhood, the mall may make sense. You also do not have to worry about the weather either. Has anyone else seen mall trick or treating?

I have never been to the mall on Halloween - passing out candy to kinds dressed like hersheys kisses and medusa

PS - the dog was startled and barked at the good ones

I don't think that kids in apartments would necessarily go to the mall. There were plenty of kids being driven into our neighborhood by parents. Also used to happen at Ann's place in Ferndale.

I think some parents look at the mall as "safer" for whatever reason. So I think that is where it comes from.

I think they do it for marketing purposes since they do give out flyers and coupons encouraging people to drop by their stores. My neighbor invited me to join them last year and that is how I found out about it. They do have huge advertisements here for the event. I know my friends in MN go to the Mall of America. Now, I'm sure you'll get major loot there!
