In watching the coverage, the news seemed more interested in the plight of the moose than the plight of the driver who hit it, contrary to the headline...
Takes me back to a banging on my window at 2am. I look out the window of our house in East Lansing to be met with Skip's friend Cowboy covered in blood. Great way to wake up. He was on his way back to Bay City and had hit a deer. It pretty much totaled his car.
Yeah, it does seem that all they talked about was the poor moose. I remember seeing Elk roadkill in Utah along a rural highway that we took in the middle of the night. We hauled down the highway, and on the way back a week later, we saw the elk. We would have been creamed in our little rental car if we hit one of those bad boys.
