Today is sunny, cloudless, and a little chilly. I will take it since we have a big ole' Noreaster bearing down on us on Sunday. We just had one of those rainy days when it is pouring and the rain blows into your face to add insult to injury. My plan is to drive around after the storm and see who had the worst flooding. That will help to determine where we go house hunting!
It is also time to file our taxes (which amounts to Mike working and me makin' copies), do my payroll (which amounts to Mike doing it with me sulking nearby), and I should get started on my quarterlies (which I can actually do most of the time). I think that all should be done during all of the wind and rain.
Mike and I sat around and played Hippie music last night. He's been bugging me to learn "Friend of the Devil" by the Greatful Dead. It is a fun song to play. As a special bonus, you can sing like a hippie (without the horrible stink of a hippie). When I lived in Ann Arbor, there were hippies. The hippies always stunk. Why don't Hippies take showers? There are not any here. There are not even many granolas around here. No socks and sandals are seen until you hit New Paltz or the border of Vermont. I continue to commit fashion faux pas like that 'cause I just do not care. I did notice that I am really unfashionable though. We went to dinner the other night in Greenwich, and everyone was really dressed(maybe since it is the business crowd after work). I have some nice outfits to get really dressed up, but nothing much in between. I trash my clothes at work, or I am casual. It is pathetic that I even notice how unfashionable I am. When I used to work in a hospital here, the girls used to talk about particular stores, etc. I had never heard of them, but it may be my advanced age. Mostly it is since I can not be bothered! I think a lot of shoes look kinda ugly (usually because some women stuff there feet in strappy heels with bunions and their feet are kinda squeezed in them). I especially think the purses (or pocketbooks as they say 'round here) are hideous. They remind me of bags they used to sell in TV ads in the '70s.

I don't know, the hippies out here stink not because lack of water and soap resources as much as it is an aversion to deoderant.
I have to finish our taxes today. Which will amount to me doing them and lots of questions around whether or not they're done yet :) M's job is to keep the stuff all in the same place all year which she does quite well! Thank goodness tor TurboTax! If only we could fix the root cause to the tax issue.

our filing is poor, and the floor is eventually covered in documents!
