Strange Currencies

Mike and I went out to the city last night to see his friend's CD release party. His buddy played a set in a band, and they were really good. His buddy played the upright bass, and their electric guitar player at one point was using a bow (I can not say that I have ever seen that before). There was a frantic energy last night in the city. The little bar we went to was in the East Village, and the traffic was just out of control. Twice when we were turning left, somebody also turned left from behind us (zooming from the inside which was unexpected). We were beginning to give up on even parking (after circling for about 30 minutes, including pay lots), when suddenly a space opened up before us. Hooray! It took us forever to get out of the city too (at midnight), and the traffic was more obnoxious then usual. it was fun regardless of the traffic, etc. Everyone was roaming about the village. Maybe everyone was getting out before the rain hit.

Our friend told us a story the other night that was pretty intriguing. She has a dog with a doggie door in her kitchen. Lately the giant bag of dog food has had new rips in it. This occurs overnight when her dog is sleeping with her. One day last week, she woke up to footprints on her bedspread. These prints did not belong to her dog, but she suspects that they were raccoon! She thought that maybe a raccoon was coming in to get dog food, and when she moved the bag to a more secure place, footprints in her room. Little freaky eh?

Jimmy Page often played his guitar with a bow. I never saw Zeppelin live, but I've seen him do it in concert clips.

I had no clue anyone did that. It was pretty funky.

I think I would take some nails to the doggie door...
