We get certain signs that tend to pop up along the road near busy intersections. One of them is for a youth sports program. Inevitably one of the youth sports signs always gets another stapled to it that states, "This is a BAD idea". I can not imagine what horrible event will cause somebody to always have a answer to staple to the youth sports ads, but there is a vindictive parent out there that is always ready. I am telling you all that the youth sports signs for a particular company always end up with the response signs nailed to them.
The latest smear campaign by us has been popping up over the last 2 weeks. They all say, "Shame on you ------ -------". The name is not important, and I do not want to smear anyone. Somebody must really be mad at that guy. The mad people must have a lot of time on their hands to make signs that probably get taken down daily.
Moral of the story? Do not piss off the New Yorkers!

We had a neighborhood feud for a while because a family didn't like the fact that the people accros the street from them parked their camper in the street.
The first volley was a flyer in our door looking for grass-roots neighbor support disparaging third wheels, campers, and other non-car related items parked in the street. I, of course did my own version and mocked our next door neighbor in a similar fashion since they parked in our driveway without permission that night (But I digress).
Said family across the street went as far as to put a sign up calling them trailer trash with a picture of a trailer and the "So Smoking" circle with a slash through it and an arrow pointing at their house. It was complete with a phone number and name of the landlord with an encouragement to harass the homeowner - it was WAY over the top.
The thing is that the trailer was pretty new, unlike the eyesore we had to stare at until last summer. In any event, when that sign when up M had to stop me from confronting the neighbor putting up the signs.
In any event, within a couple of days of that, the people with the trailer moved out - which pissed me off even more, and in my door were the freaking by-laws of our sub-division with an ordinance covering parking ~circa 1975.
