Paging the Donner party

Occasionally when I am treating in the pool, a bunch of pilots come in and get survival training. They always blow up their clothes and float, and the finale is always blowing up this huge lifeboat with a top (and 10 guys piling into it). Their trainer is an military looking dude who talks non-stop about what they should do in every survival at sea situation. Usually I am working and I do not pay attention much to what they are saying. A discussion occurred yesterday that caught my attention.

"When your buddy dies on the lifeboat, do not throw his body overboard". He discussed cases where the body came in handy.

Now that's good eatin'!

Have you ever heard the Monty Python lifeboat sketch? It is all about them deciding who to eat and how to prepare each other (even though no one is dead yet). Pretty funny that it is actually true!
