A little off subject, but this morning on CNN they were showing one of the riders on the Tour de France hitting a dog (looked like a yellow lab). Dog was fine, but boy, he totally wrecked his front wheel.
Yeah, I saw that too. The wheel looked like it was made of rubber did'nt it? Mike and I were on a tour a couple of summers ago, and some a-hole tacoed his tire. Mike stopped for an intersection, and the dude just fell over on his wheel (inexperienced and trying to be cool). Anywhoo, Mike replaced with a good ole' steel rim. Those components are too damn expensive, and we are not serious enough to warrant buying hi tech replacements.
That sounds like a pretty tough "vacation"!
