The Lives of Others

The link above is to a podcast interviewing the director of "The lives of others". It opened here last night, and we went to check it out. It is a film set in East Germany.
It is the story of a Stasi officer who is monitoring a writer during the eighties. We went to the 10:10 showing, and when it ended at 12:30, I was wide awake (I am never like that for late shows). If you feel that warrantless wiretapping of American citizens is OK to protect us against terror, you should see this movie. It will change your mind.
