Katie met her clone at the pool today. This little baby was a couple of months older, but she had the same color eyes and hair, the same hairline, and nearly the same birth weight. It was pretty funny seeing them together. They could have been related for sure. It did not take her long to meet her long lost twin!

Hangin' with the K

We strolled around the town park and Playland on Friday night. There were bands playing before the fireworks on both sides of the boardwalk. I still have not seen the fireworks yet this summer. They conflict with bedtime.

She was pretty happy as you can see in the pics, but started spazzing out on our way back. We ended up carrying K for about a 1/2 mile home. I guess we pushed our luck and stayed too long.

We laid low the rest of the weekend with her. It was too hot. I plan on staying in today too. I may take her for a swim later today if it works out with her nap.

Waterbaby

We wanted to find out if K likes the water like me or not. The conclusion is that she is a swimmer! She had a alot of fun, and we stayed in the pool much longer than I thought we would.

Lullabyebye!

The other night, K was taking a while to settle down. I started to sing softly to her, and her immediate response was to look at me with wide eyes and begin to talk non-stop (or sing perhaps). I have concluded that singing is a stimulatory activity, so I will stick to being quiet at bedtime. Why mess with a good thing?

Water Baby

I bought K a swim suit yesterday, but when I held it up to her when I got home, it was clear that it would not come near to fitting her. I picked out a 6-9 month suit, but it was really tiny. I went back today and picked up a 12 month suit, so hopefully it will fit. I also could not resist how cute it was! We are aiming to get her into the water this weekend.

I took that picture of her in her playgym thingy, because she was playing with a different toy with each appendage. Both feet and hands were simultaneously playing with a different toy. I may have snapped a picture too late to catch the full effect.

chug a lug

We decided to have Kuni practice with a cup tonight. She first tried the sippy cup, but she was not too impressed (as usual). I suggested Mike try a real cup with her (it has been a while), and when he put it to her lips, she started to chug the water down! I think she is ready for college.

Life with Kuni

I feel like I have been lazy documenting Kuni. I need to record what she is up to before I forget. She started liking kids about a month ago, and she just loves to watch them. She is bummed that her cousins are not around! Kuni started laughing a couple of weeks ago, but she still saves most the laughing for kids. She is a monkey girl. She likes to grab anything using her feet. Mike thinks she could swing from a tree by her toes. She has the gift of gab, and she is getting louder and louder. The sounds change every day. She is a happy girl overall, and I wish I could freeze her in time!
